for this piece was carved by Leslie Grogan, Santa Barbara Ca.
It was taken from Andrews "Ancient Egyptian Jewelry". The original was found in
the
burial tomb of Wendjebauendjed, 21st Dynasty (c.1030 b.c.)
It is cast in solid Sterling Silver by Creative Endeavors and polished to a mirror finish.
Bastet is an Egyptian cat goddess, an aspect of Sekmet. (her more
playful side).
She was known as the Goddess of pleasure. (1 7/8 in.)
